Lady Jags fall to Louisiana

The Cajuns got the best of the Jags by winning all three games in the series and remaining on top of the Sun Belt. Crimson Tide tops Jaguar baseball

By: Bryant Kwilecki | Sports Editor | March 15, 2023 MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 24 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide traveled to Mobile on Tuesday night to take on the Jags before both teams start conference play. The Tide came out on top with a 4-0 score.  South Alabama baseball’s record drops to 8-9 on the season after falling short to the Tide (16-2). Jaguar Basketball exceeds expectations

Though they fell short in the championship game to the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns with a final score of 71-66, the Jags still exceeded expectations.  It was not that long ago when the Jags lost to Old Dominion and were 8-13 overall and 1-7 in conference play. Jaguar Softball Plays in Jane B. Memorial Tournament

Memorial tournament and finished 4-1.  On Friday night, the Jags split beating Tennessee Tech 9-0 and falling short to the Auburn Tigers 3-0. On Saturday, they won both games beating Bowling Green (BGU) 12-0 and then getting revenge against the 19th ranked Tigers, winning 2-1. Bryant Kwilecki  Feb. 20, 2023 MOBILE, Ala. – The South Alabama baseball team kicked off their season this past weekend in the Jaguar Classic. It was a record-setting weekend. The Jaguars finished the weekend 3-1 to begin the 2023 season. In the season opener on Friday night against Northwestern State, the Jags came from behind late to secure the win with a final score of 3-2. On Saturday, the Jags played a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky. They dropped game one with a score of 2-0 but then the Jaguar bats came alive in game two to win 26-6.
